Whether you're just starting out on your mixed media journey or if you're a pro, this is the perfect class for you! Transform a plain canvas into a beautiful piece of wall art in this workshop taught by Wendy Morris as she walks you through the steps of creating your very own altered mixed media canvas for the holidays.

Learn how to create an altered canvas using lots of details and all kinds of mixed media. You'll use products from Studio Calico, Tim Holtz Melissa Frances, Teresa Collins, My Mind’s Eye, Prima, Art Institute, Graphic 45, Jillibean Soup, and more as you finish your project. This canvas will look beautiful on your wall as holiday decor or perfect as a gift!

The class will include the following techniques:
- Brushless watercolor with Ranger Distress Ink Stain
- Use of wood veneers
- Embellishing with Ranger Distress Paint
- Use of Golden modeling paste and Tim Holtz mask templates
- Embellishing with Art Institute Glitter
- Distressing with Gesso

Student to bring the following class supplies:

Gesso
Mod Podge - Matte
Adhesives - (preferred Ranger Glossy Accents/Diamond Glaze), Glue Dots
Paper Trimmer
Scissors
Variety of picture sizes - 4x6, 2x3, 3x4, and/or smaller sizes
Heat Tool/Embossing Heat Gun
Ruler
Pencil
