One of my very favorite people is having a birthday Monday, August 13th! I have thought and thought about what I should give her for her birthday I just couldn't come up with an idea that made me happy......!
So I prayed about it, and asked for help in deciding what she may want! Those of you who know me, will understand how I received my answer! Pinterest of course! Click on this link and you'll understand a little better! http://mixmingleglow.com/blog/?p=1358
As I started to think about this I got excited, I knew it would be perfect for her, because she would rather give than receive! But I need your help!
I'm putting out a call to scrapbookers, stampers, crafters and just friends in general, to do a random act of kindness in honor of Essie Mack's birthday! I'm not going to tell you how old she is going to be, because I want her to continue being my friend! lol
If you participate, please come back here and post what you did for your rak! It can be anything, big or small, it doesn't matter!
You can perform this rak anytime between now and Monday at 5:00! Don't forget to post here, because A Scrap In Time is going to give a $50.00 gift certificate to one very lucky winner! Don't forget the pictures! After all, we are scrapbookers and this will be a fun memory!!
Please let all of your friends know about this and lets see how many people we can get to participate! Wouldn't it be great for Essie to have over 100 presents on her ______ birthday! No, she's not 100! Now she will kill me!
The state of one’s health is partly the result of life choices, but ultimately in God’s hands. I’m thanking Him for the state of health He’s entrusted me with today.
I RAK – the gift of giving: taken from this blog http://thinkingchristianwoman.com/2012/03/i-ran-and-i-rak-happy-birthday.html
Luke the physician recorded Paul the apostle quoting Jesus the Christ in Acts 20:35, “You’ll not likely go wrong here if you keep remembering that our Master said, ‘You’re far happier giving than getting.’” (that’s the Message version of “it is more blessed to give than to receive.”)
One translation of the Greek word “blessed” is “oh how happy,” so in that context, happy birthday could be thought of as blessed birthday.
Thanks everyone, I know I can count on you to help make this a Happy Birthday for our friend and insipration Essie Mack!!!
If you go to the blogs I tagged, you will get some awesome ideas! I love what some of the posters did for their friends!
