New Merchandise Monday 11/29/10

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I know I did!  Nothing like family, football, and a deep fried turkey!  Oh and pie.....can't forget the pie.  It may be kind of a bummer to head back to the grind after that long vacation for some of us, but think of Monday as a good thing because.......it's time for another New Merchandise Monday!  This week, we are featuring the new Tim Holtz Ideaology Configuration.  I myself am pretty excited about this one as I love little nooks and storage spaces. A Cricut Christmas with Beatriz Guzman

 

Join us Friday, December 3rd and create this adorable (just check out Rudolph's smile) two page layout just loaded with Cricut cuts.  Better yet, make a day of it and stay for Beatriz's tag class at 6pm!  This layout is absolutely precious and brimming with sparkles and texture, thanks to a little hand-cranked machine called the Cuttlebug.  Beatriz will be showing you how adding a bit of texture can make a world of difference for an otherwise plain piece of cardstock.  She will also be sharing with us a few of her techniques she uses to embellish her masterpieces.

Allow me to introduce one of our newest teachers, the talented Mrs. Beatriz Guzman of Amazing Grace.  Yes, she's fun, she's vivacious, she's got a mesmerizing accent (lol), and let me tell you guys, this gal has more talent in the tip of her little finger than I could ever hope for!  Best of all, she is coming down from Dothan, Alabama to share her crafty genius with us!  Beatriz will be teaching us how to make tags similar to these beauties on Friday, December 3.  These 4x8 tags are loaded with embellishments and dimension as only Beatriz can do, and are so versatile.  They can be hung alone, or placed on a layout with beautiful results, whatever you can dream up.  Come see us and sign up for this lovely class.

In this two hour hands-on course, we will explore the basic functions of your fantastic Cricut die cutting machine.  The class will consist of the following fundamentals:

• Basics of the Machine
• Understanding the book and making it your own
• Reading the overlay
• Settings of size, pressure, and speed
• Mat care

Along the way, we will be making two super cute projects to get your creative juices flowing!

Your Cricut is designed to cut paper and a variety of other materials.  It is an amazing machine!  And there are thousands of patterns available to help you design scrapbooks, cards, home decor, gifts, parties, cakes, and so much more.

Gingerbread House Explosion Album Class

Come join us at A Scrap In Time in Crestview, FL this Saturday, November 13th, and let me show you how to create your own gingerbread house shaped explosion album. Christmas is fast approaching and what a fun addition to your holiday decor this adorable little box would be. Not to mention, the surprise when you open it! Inside are mats for 12-24  of your favorite Holiday photos.

 We will also be learning about and using the Cuttlebug machine. If you've never gotten the chance to play with one of these, I guarantee you'll fall in love. This machine works with many different brands of die cuts, and also has a large collection of embossing folders to add texture to your papers. (check out the swirls on the roof of the house!)
